Using Game Theory to Analyse Meaningful Choices in Games

In the GDC this year, I was lucky to hear an insightful talk about system agency presented by Mattias Worch. I was even more lucky to have read his previous talk in the recommended reading in Jesse’s Game Design class.

In his previous talk, Player Stories and Designer Stories, he pointed out that “system agency” is the most important element to provide the sense of agency in game. This year he further explain what system agency is.
